He was born May 3, 1972 to Max Small and Dorlene Birdtail at Ft. Belknap, Montana. Troy recieved his early education at Harlem and completed Middle School and High School at both Hardin and Colstrip.
First and foremost Troy was a loving father. He had four beautiful children whom he loved with all his heart. Swayd and Ryder were his eldest sons and Alaia and Baylee his baby girls.
Troy worked on the family ranch in Kirby. He enjoyed mechanic work, snowmobiling and four-wheeling. He was a good hearted person and would do what he could to help anyone. His whole world revolved around his family and children. He was always a good person to talk to and gave good advise. He had many, many friends; many he called brothers. He was a very humerous person. Often making you laugh whether you were sad or mad. Everyone who came in contact with him became his good friend and learned to love him.
Troy worked construction and help pave the Kirby road. He also drove semi tucks for Troy Cady. We will all miss Troy very much. He was greatly loved by all that knew him, especially his family.
